Bio

Cartooning • I’ve been drawing since I could hold a pencil and I’ve always gravitated toward cartooning. I have a comic strip called Carrot and Ruf and do a single-panel gag strip called Junk Drawer. I am always seeking new places to publish them! See my cartoons.

Graphic Design • I got into Graphic Design in college. At Mesa State College (now Colorado Mesa University) I worked in the campus’ design studio. I got my BA in Graphic Art in 2002 and got a job as the “typesetter” at CopyCopy (a copy shop much like Kinko’s) in 2003. I worked as the Graphic Designer for Canyon View Vineyard Church (a large non-denominational church) from 2006 to 2022. I am now a graphic designer at Merge2Media (a marketing and design firm). I have been doing intermittent freelance work since college. See my graphic design work.

Illustration • I have done many freelance illustrations from caricatures and children’s books to CD covers. I have several children’s books in process. See my illustration.

Traditional Art • When I'm not working in the above fields, I am experimenting in various mediums from oils and pastel to ink and charcoal. See my store to see, and/or buy original artwork, prints or items with my art on them!
